Act quickly if a phone containing your Pleo card is lost or stolen, or if you receive a wallet verification code you did not request.
If your phone is lost or stolen
Follow these steps in order:
- Lock or erase the device using Apple Find My or Google Find Hub.
- Remove the device from your Apple Account or Google Account so it can no longer receive your codes.
- Change your Pleo password and sign out of all devices.
- Remove your Pleo cards from the wallet on the lost device.
- Review your recent transactions and report anything you do not recognise.
- Contact Pleo through the in-app chat or at support@pleo.io if you notice suspicious activity or need help securing your account.
Protect cards in Apple Pay or Google Pay
- Only add a Pleo card to a wallet on a device you control.
- Adding a card to a wallet requires a verification code. If you receive a code you did not request, someone may be trying to add your card to another device.
- Do not share the code.
- Freeze the card.
- Contact Pleo immediately.
- Check the devices linked to your card in the Pleo app and remove any you do not recognise.
- Keep your device locked with biometrics or a secure passcode.
- Never share a wallet verification code, even with someone claiming to be from Pleo, your finance team or your bank.
